[ale] modeline for Dell 2001FP

To get the exact vertical and horizontal frequency that Dell says the
monitor only supports at 1600x1200 would be the reason for the modeline.
I wouldn't care if I could get it to work with the SaX2 tool in Yast2.
But, it wouldn't so I am trying this route. It's pointless to purchase
a fancy large LCD if your forced to a lower resolution.

Thanks for the modeline! I'll try it in the morning. The error message
was that the "horizontal sync was out of range." How did you get that
modeline? And, how does a faster LCD with a 16ms vs 25ms change the
modeline? Or, does it at all? Modelines make sense to me for regular
CRTs but the LCDs confuse me. Thanks,
Dow

What is the error message ?

Are you sure you need a modeline ?

My Monitor section for a simular monitor is:

Section "Monitor"
        #DisplaySize 410 310 # mm
        Identifier "Monitor0"
        VendorName "AMT"
        ModelName "PL201M"
        Option "DPMS"
EndSection

If you absolutely need a modeline try
 "1600x1200" 162.00 1600 1624 1976 2160 1200 1201 1204 1250 +HSync
+VSync

This should be 75KHz/60Hz.

Good luck
