[ale] bellsouth and smtp auth on mail.bellsouth.net

yeah. they stink. If I wasn't getting 3.0Mb down, 300kb up, and a fixed 
IP for $50, and if work would pay for equivalent service elsewhere 
without having to do business with comcast, I'd switch.

As it is, I was able to turn on the config parameters for sendmail so it 
would try to do authorization, and it still works even though they don't 
  have AUTH turned on yet. I'm just going to have to watch my 
/var/log/maillog all day I guess.
