Since earlier you spec'd no moving parts, this can be easily
done with off-the shelf standardized PC parts.

Disk:
Use a flash drive. IPCop and some other router distros support them.

CPU:
I use a Via C3-800 in current home router PC. Zalman 3100 heatsink, no fan.

Power Supply:
mini-box.com has some fanless power supplies for use in systems with
fairly low power needs.

Nice thing about using a PC platform is if PSU develops a problem
you can yank a PSU out of a standard PC and make it work in minutes.
No need to frantically arrange cross-shipping, etc.

It's overkill for the house perhaps but will end up being cheaper, more
flexible, and more reliable IMHO for business.
