you can buy what is know as a "dry pair," an analog connection with no
dialtone.  alarm companies use them for their monitoring circuits.  it
is possible to apply only a dsl signal to this circuit, thus dsl with no
phone.  good luck purchasing one from bellsouth.  you might be able to
get one from a clec or an alarm company.  the major hassle then would be
getting bellsouth to match the circuit with your location, since they
base all residential service on the location of a phone number.  my 2
cents.
