	A large Georgia (Alpharetta)-based client of ours is undergoing a significant restructuring 
and expansion of its core software technology development group. My company has been tasked 
with filling these positions with permanent W-2 employees ASAP. As there are over 40 positions to 
be filled, this is a Herculean effort on our part but we have delivered high quality talent to them in 
the past and we want to continue to build our reputation of providing the same, even in quantity. 
Most of these positions are for senior or intermediate level developers but there are a few entry level 
positions as well so read carefully.

	To hopefully increase our chances of finding the right mix, we are offering a bounty of 
$500 to anyone who provides us first access to a candidate who is qualified, hired, and maintains 
their employment throughout the standard 90 day evaluation period. Naturally that candidate must 
agree that the person did present them and any duplicate introductions will be resolved based 
solely on our own decision. Employment agency recruiters are not eligible unless we have a formal 
agreement in place with their agency - sorry. This bounty is intended for referrals of people you 
know and would put your professional reputation behind your recommendation. For highly skilled 
candidates in hard to find specialties our client is willing to provide standard relocation assistance 
and/or visa sponsorship. As all standard H1Bs are filled until 2006, it will be impossible to sponsor a 
new H1B visa unless a candidate has an advanced degree (Masters or better) from a US-based 
University or already possesses an H1B that can be transferred. A candidate will have to be 
obviously better qualified than any other candidate to obtain these additional considerations.

	Persons considering applying for one or more of these positions should understand that 
this kind of restructuring and expansion is pretty much guaranteed to create a chaotic environment 
which can result is confusion and frustration on everyone's part. Just being able to absorb this 
number of new developers into an already existing infrastructure is difficult enough but many of 
these positions will be part of whole new groups of development that never existed in the 
organization before. Additionally, new development methodologies (AGILE) and technologies (Linux 
& 3D graphics for example) are being brought in for the first time. Yes - I too was shocked to see 
this relatively conservative organization undergo such broad changes but, the president of the 
company and the CEO have decided to make a major technology play in the industry so this kind of 
confusion and upheaval could really spell opportunity to strong developers who are willing to go 
along with the ride. Several of these multiple-position postings are intended to hopefully identify the 
best talent in the group and rapidly promote them to chief architect positions. 

	All positions could possibly result in up to 20% domestic and/or international travel. A few 
may result in more frequent travel while most do no travel at all or until a major scheduled 
deployment comes about and these are known about far in advance. Insurance and other HR 
benefits at this company are considered excellent and salaries are very competitive to the industry. 
Its not an official policy of the company, but, for stand out employees, significant bonuses and 
promotions are not uncommon. All of these positions can become high-profile spots and I have 
witnessed all these things first hand. 

	Given the above caveats/opportunities (depending on your perspective), it should be 
pretty clear that people interested in a white-shirt & tie, 9-5, detailed task assignments and clearly 
planned career paths would be better off looking elsewhere for the time being. The rest of you will
