To me, this is such a cop out.  Very few people reuse word documents. 
It would be very easily for most businesses to migrage to OO, 
particularily since OO is available on windows as well.  You simply 
continue to modify your old word docs with Office and create all new 
ones with OO.

I did this when I migrated from Applixware to OO.
