Can be configured to adjust the fan speed based on the thermal load - when the system is idle, it's quiet.. works well.

Subject: [ale] OT: reducing Athlon noise

I have a box (Athlon 2200+ XP) I'm converting to a MythTv box, but the
fans I've used in the past to keep the temps down are entirely too loud.
I'm looking to replace all the case fans and the CPU fan (Thermaltake
Volcano 6 CU+ with 7000 rpm fan...noisy) with more quiet ones, while
hopefully not increasing temps too much.

Any suggestions? I'm desperate to get this noise down (so I can hear the
TV ;-)).

Thanks!

John
