for people that _are_ bound by dial-up (like me) check out Morphix.  Also
look for a mini-cd version of Knoppix (Knoppix Lite?).

Google for "Tech2k".  He is a good guy and has information on how to create
your own personalized Knoppix/Morphix cdrom on his site as well as links to
other "LiveCDs".
