There are only 2-3 makers of the chips in compact flash devices. For the
most part, brand won't matter.

For camera use (and a a storage medium as well for Zaurus, et al) write
speed is a big plus. There are now some flash media that are 40x thebase
write speed. I'm probably wrong on the rate (I do know that it is slower
than a floppy) but I think it's around 60k _bits_ per second for the
base rate. So the 40x rate is a BIG improvement.
