[ale] Installfest ONLY a week away

For some reason, I had forgotten about AbiWord. I have used it before and
found it quite useful.

I have been doing some homework before bringing this thing in Sat. So far, I
have tried some live demos to get a feel for the speed of the finished
product. So far, I only got Demo Linux to work with X. Looked terrible, but
the machine's performance was acceptable. I couldn't get my SuSe LiveEval
working, and I couldn't get Morhpix working in X. I have found some other
people who have used Linux on this particular model of ThinkPad (thanks Dow!)
and I'll bring the info with me to make this less painful.

Somehow, I am getting the feeling that Slackware will be the best choice. Any
seconds on that one.

I will bring Damnsmalllinux, Morphix KDE and Morphix Lightweight edition with
me in case anyone wants/needs them. I won't have any copies, as the
cdburner's giving me fits, but feel free to make a copy if someone brings a
cd burner.
