[ale] Simple Software to Print All Incoming Faxes Under RedHat8?

mgetty, sendfax (and vgetty) are your friends. While not pretty to look
at, they are solid tools. mgetty/sendfax handles the dial-in and
fax-in/out components. vgetty handles voice mail.

RedHat 8 (and most of the earlier version as well) ship with the tools.
Google on mgetty to find the main page for the app. There is decent
documentation of how to use it. There are also some nice gui tools for
for the voicemail stuff. Dig on freshmeat.net for that.

One caveat: The voicemail tools are a bit picky on the modem type. I
have a USRobotics 56k voice faxmodem Pro that supports serial and usb
connections. While the vgetty stuff works fine under usb (with the usb
acm module in the kernel), the direct tools for building voice message
from the handset will hard lock the box instantly. I can't use this as a
serial port device as I have no more available (UPS and Wacom tablet
take priority).
