there is discrimination at all levels and towards all types.
I am a white male, and supposedly the source of all discrimination...
But i myself have been discriminated against, and know it for a fact.
There was a short time my wife and i were both looking for employment
about a year ago. we applied for the same position, and we both got a
call back from the recruiter. She got an offer for an interview. but
turned it down. She then mentions me as an alternative and was told.
"If the employer was looking for a man, the position would have been
filled weeks ago." but this was unofficial. This happens, its a part of
the hiring practice. not good, but it happens. But it is not some great
conspiracy, and on some levels, its subconscious. filling a lawsuit is
not going to stop it, its human nature. Its just now with the job market
so dismal due to the poor decisions of all the politicians over the last
10 years, its getting to be more visible due to ppl getting desperate
for a job.
