[ale] Mozilla and Evolution

If you're running kde:

(1) Update ~/.gnome/Gnome as follows:

[URL Handlers]
default-show=/full/path/to/this/file/konqueror-remote

(2) Create the konqueror-remote file as follows (make it executable):
#!/bin/sh

URL="$*"
konqueror "$URL"

I don't use konqueror; I use mozilla, but this is how I set up mozilla
to open links on my RH 7.1 system. Maybe newer RH systems are different,
but as far as I could determine on my system, editing the Gnome control
panel settings won't work if you're running kde.
