[ale] Connecting RedHat 6.1 to a Nortel PPTP VPN

Can you expand on your problem? I have had problems trying to VPN into my company. Nortel has some standalone VPN client software which they claim works. At the time I was running mandrake 8.0. I could authenticate but nothing more. I could not ping anything, whether I was authenticated or not. I finally gave up. Nortel said its latest software was compatible with RH 8.0.

Nortel software was about $100 with phone support.

Hope we are talking about the same thing.

John

Any suggestions, other than pptpclient? The professor will not patch
and rebuild his kernel, so I'm looking for some sort of hardware
solution compatible with Linux.

TIA!
