I _just_ got back from seeing the Matrix II.

Now I'm really paranoid.  Sometimes the obvious is, well, obvious.

I've always been of the opinion that the reason we have such a virus
problem is the overlapping interests of M$ and Symantec/Norton/McAfee.
They pay enough access fees to the borg to keep the code holes from
getting fixed. Then they pay some noteriety and maybe even hard cash to
some bright malcontents to write the master virus and post it on the
crack channels. It keeps their cash stream pretty good.
