I actually used a couple of them, on the job.  Guess that gives away my 
age a bit?  Used a pdp-11 for testing telephones at a Western Electric 
factory (later became AT&T and now Lucent).  Also was the operator for 
an IBM S360, ran literally everything in the factory.
