[ale] [OT][Networking]AppleTalk and IPSEC

I have a client who's running an ancient MacOS application that looks
like it was written in 1991 or thereabouts. My question is, if I setup
an IPSEC tunnel between their two locations, is there some kind of proxy
I can run on both ends to ferry the AppleTalk data across the tunnel?
What, pray tell, would do the trick?
<insert apology for stupid question obviously poorly researched>

Thanks, y'all!
