It's probably something like that, except that the "good" server that
always works is mail.bellsouth.net.  The "bad" servers that always fail
are mx00.mail.bellsouth.net and mx01.mail.bellsouth.net.  The problem is
that even though /etc/sendmail.cf's DS line uses the "good" server, it
seems to end up trying to talk to one of the bad ones.
