[ale] recovering an ext3 drive

Here's the issue in some form of detail.  I left a job back in Oct. and
took the drive w/me since it has all my email for 7 months, work files,
etc.  Just hooked the drive up the other day, and it seems nothing is on
there.  When i did "mount -t ext3 /dev/hdd2 /mnt/hd", it mounted fine,
but "ls" shows no files.  The partitions seem to be fine also.
