[ale] SSH3.1.0 scp failure (a mystery to me)

I had similar error before (ssh2 client with openssh or ssh2
server). it'd been a while now. As far as I can recall, it was the user
account on the server. It has something spitted out after authentication,
such as MOD or other things from .bash_profile or .bashrc. Those
extraneous strings confused the client. The client was obviously
expecting something else to confirm that the connection is in fact made.

#This is off the wall, as I have no idea what's going on, but noting the
#reference to 'Statting destination file' and noting you were writing to
#/tmp, I'm wondering if the scp create's a tmp file when it put's it over
#there and the tmp file it's trying to create is in /tmp, therefore it's
#shooting itself in the foot when trying to do the scp. Now I've done
#copies to /tmp before with scp and not had such problems, but maybe the
#/tmp file on that machine is linked to /usr/tmp or /SOMEOTHER/tmp that
#scp is trying to use.

#Just a stab in the dark with a dull fork...
