[ale] Split Cat5

Ethernet generally only uses two pairs. Even 100Base-T.. The pertinent
pins on a given cable are pins 1,2,3&6

One pair goes to pins 1 & 2, and the other goes to pins 3 & 6 (For EIA/TIA
568B, thats the orange and green pairs respectively). Just pick two pairs
for one connector and two for the other. Be sure to keep the colors
straight at the other end.

No guarantees as to whether you'll still get the full 100Mbit/sec (if that's
what you're running), especially if it's a long run, but it should work with
any type of device.

If you need a visual, there are plenty of pinout diagrams you can find
online by searching.

I would like to split a 10Base-T Cat 5 run into 2 ports at the end. I seen
these devices that can be purchased. Can soneome tell me how to make one?
I assume this will only work with 10Base-T on hubs and not switches and
100Base-T.

Thanks,
Chris
