NFS Client: Redhat Advanced Server
mount -t nfs ipaddress_nfs_server:/home/oracle/SW /mnt/dir

When I issue this command I get the error message:
"mount: RPC: Timed out"

Any hint?

Hi,

It seems like the client cannot connect to the portmapper on the server. Can
you pls post the output of "rpcinfo -p <nfs server ip>" on the client?

Are the nfs server or client protected by a firewall (external or via their
own netfilter rules)?

Regards,

Vincent
