[ale] Linux on an Apple iBook

MacOS X is a pretty damn usable environment. The last couple of
revisions have done much to correct some annoyances. On the other hand,
Apple has a tendency to let the documentation side of things suffer.
Personally I think it sucks. My buddy here who's reading over my
shoulder thinks that it's alright, just different. Maybe that's just
vendor doco.
There are some funny things about it. The NeXT-vintage config database
takes some getting used to. It's different. Every once in a while you'll
be working along in MacOS X, then suddenly you find yourself confronted
with Linux's inherent superiority. Call it a lack of cruft.

Cheers!
