[ale] AIT [Sony] tape drive that won't spit out the tape ?

Thank you for the suggestion.

The Sony drive is a SDX-300C for which this did not work. The controller 
is an Adaptec 2944, if that makes a difference.

BTW, Debian-2.4.17.

Any other perceptions about what's going on ?
