[ale] cdda2wav and CD burner trouble

Hello again all,

I'm attempting to burn CDs, and using xcdroast. It works fine for data CDs, but
I've run into some weirdness with audio CDs. I had it working at one time, but
have tweaked something that has broken it w/r/t audio.

Here's the scoop - from looking at the code, xcdroast is calling cdda2wav to get
data off the disk, and passing the device as the SCSI lun, etc = "0,0,0", and
this fails to find anything, just hanging. However, if I call cdda2wav from the
command line and pass in the device /dev/cdrom, I get back data. I'm certain
that audio CDs workied at one time, so I'm suspecting some module glitch. I'm
running RH 8.0, so I'm not sure if the ATAPI interface is an option at this
point. Any suggestions as to where to look for info appreciated.

TIA,
