Driver    == Administrator
Mechanic  == Developer

An administrator should be able to "drive" the software *without* getting
under the hood, *if* the software is designed/implemented well.

Now, the administrator will of course be expected to change the oil
(patches), but shouldn't be expected to redesign the exhaust system if
it's determined that it's leaky by design.

Poorly designed/poorly implemented.

When you start expecting/requiring administrators to understand your
source to use your product, they *WILL* go elsewhere...I guarantee it.
They have enough on their hands.
