The sad thing is, this was working flawlessly on an older box with an 
older release.  Things should get better or stay the same, not get worse.

This is for my mother-in-law.  She's used to turning on the computer, 
opening up mozilla and the bloody thing dials in.  As it is, I'll have 
to slap a kppp icon on the desktop and tell her to select it first.

The thing is, I've got to add an expect/send sequence to the chat and 
I've done this successfully with kppp, but kppp does not autodial. 
kinternet, I can get to autodial, but it doesn't connect because the 
proper expect/send sequence never get's passed.  There is a 'login 
prompt' and 'login' setting for wvdial.conf where you can set the login 
prompt you expect to get from the server and login to pass when you see 
the login prompt.  I set them both, but they are completely ignored by 
wvdial.
