[ale] HELP! Installing Linux over Windows

Server automagically prompts to destroy all existing partitions.
Anything else defaults to "remove only linux partitions". It really
depends on which option he selected during install. Later in the
installation you are prompted as to whether or not you want to
dual-boot. I've had several linux-newbies miss this step and not be
able to boot Windows as a result.

An easy way to find out is to post the output from "fdisk -l /dev/hda".
If it shows /dev/hda1 as NTFS (or anything other than ext3), then the
Windows install is probably still there. If this is the case, then it
is simply a matter of adding the correct entries to /etc/grub.conf or
/etc/lilo.conf (and running "lilo"), and rebooting.
