Not to nitpick, but I read that too and there are two reasons it's OK to spell it that way.

First, it was part of a quote.. so even if it was misspelled, it doesn't reflect on the author of the quoting document.

Secondly, "bases" is the plural of "basis".. so it's likely correct in itself.

I'm not sure it's unprofessional, but it is definitely a different style..

I hate to say it, but the filing does not seem at all professional to me. IANAL and only managed to get through about 4 pages. I quit reading when I saw the word 'bases' where 'basis' should have been used.

I hope their legal representation is better than their proofreader.
