[ale] drive 1 on ata card

Just a guess, but you may need to compile your kernel with "boot
off-board controllers first" enabled (CONFIG_BLK_DEV_OFFBOARD),
under "ATA/IDE/[etc] options". That will make your add-in controller's
drives be hda, hdb, etc.
