[ale] Linux, USB Alcatel, Bellsouth Fastaccess HELP!

1. Check for the DSL signal on the modem first. (I figure you know to 
have him do that!)

2. I thought Bellsouth used PPPOA instead of PPPOE.  Am I wrong or is it 
by area?  Does this make a difference in what software is used to make 
the connection?
