I use Earthlink with an Ethernet modem.


There may be another way around this.  They DO support the Linksys (and
other) DSL routers that use PPPOE.

If you use of those or a Linux box that does the same thing, you can skate
around it.

Don't mention Linux and tell them you need a Ethernet modem for a Linksys
DSL Router.  Tell them you want the self set-up system.


They will send you the right thing
