[ale] Reply to ALE messages

Tommie,

I whole heartedly agree with you but there are others (and I can see their
point) who don't see much value in searching the ALE archive, but rather in
using this list as a quick Q&A forum.

It does seem inconsistent from other email list though.  Also when people
do hit reply all the originator (and other people who have responded) of
the message gets two copies (one from list and one to their personal
address).

If we want to promote sharing of information (that is by default responses
go to the group as a whole) then it seems like we would do a
reply-to-list.
