[ale] Syntax highlighting editor?

I've got a problem with this editor.  I've used it so much that I can not
use standard vi anymore.  I'm hooked.  Maybe that is bad or good.  I can
guarantee it will cut back on programming sytax errors. You'll be able to
tell you forgot the terminting quote.  Forgot a brace. etc...
