Just my two cents worth. I have always preferred SCSI drives but when it
comes to IDE drives I have NEVER had a good experience with Maxtor drives.
I know we are all prone to being biased towards certain brands but the
first PC I ever owned had a Maxtor in it and I always had touble with that
drive. Replaced with a Seagate and no more problems. Had little problems
with WD drives also. Can only wish Micropolis had stayed around longer. (I
still have Microp drives in use) Every time I have tried to go back to a
Maxtor drive I have had problems. So I just stick with Seagate whenever
possible. Lets try to lead off with a new thread. What are your favorite
drives? IDE and SCSI flavors.

My votes:

For SCSI its definately Seagate
For IDE Seagate or Western Digital
