Yes...i have. There are no sites that handle a
Toshiba Satellite Pro 435 CDS, although one does
handle a 430 CDS....the settings get me nowhere.

Nothing seems to be working. I've also tried using
the option "Option: "UseModeline" to get it
working....just gives me a bunch of odd multicolored
blocks.

I know it works (it has before) as 800x600, but have
no idea how to determine what settings might be
causing the:
(II) CHIPS(0): Not using default mode "800x600" (bad
mode clock/interlace/doublescan)

or the:

(II) CHIPS(0): Not using mode "800x600" (no mode of
this name)

although I'm thinking the second is resulting from the
first.

Any ideas on how to figure out what's going on?

Thanks,

John
