Microsoft is helping us with this is several ways. Those include:

1. forced upgrades
2. site license changes
3. more and more security vulnerabilities
4. the ever-increasing expense of ensuring "license compliance" to keep the
   BSA goons at bay.
5. the never-increasing stability of their OS

The web/news is full of stories on each of these topics.

Microsoft has tried the FUD approach to fight Linux, but it seems that the
things which should really inspire fear, uncertainty and doubt come
shrink-wrapped with each Microsoft product.

It might be good to start a thread about this, enumerating as many as
possible, and later have someone who's a good writer use them to produce a
mailing piece.

FWIW: some of my more computer-savvy clients have been asking about
converting to Linux, without me mentioning the subject. Some people DO read
the news.
