[ale] very easy question

ALE,
I am sofa here. I know that this should be very easy, but I simply cannot 
figure out how to play .wav files with RedHat 7.2. I tried downloading 
grecord-0.4.4-1 to play them, and got the following message:

Preparing...                ########################################### [100%]
file /usr/bin/grecord from install of grecord-0.3.4-1 conflicts with file 
from package gnome-media-1.2.3-4
file /usr/share/gnome/apps/Multimedia/Soundrecorder.desktop from install of 
grecord-0.3.4-1 conflicts with file from package gnome-media-1.2.3-4
[root at tb1200 downloads]# man gnome-media-1.2.3-4
No manual entry for gnome-media-1.2.3-4

So there we have it. Apparently, there is some program that plays .wav files 
called gnome-media-1.2.3-4 I do not know how to even access this program to 
play the .wavs

Please help.
