For real-time monitoring, Etherape (http://etherape.sourceforge.net)
rocks, and ethereal is wonderful for really hard-core network
monitoring.

How detailed do you need to get? If just raw bandwidth usage, it's hard
to beat MRTG http://people.ee.ethz.ch/~oetiker/webtools/mrtg/

Subject: [ale] Internet Monitoring

Hello Folks

I am looking for a solution that will let me monitor and report
internet usage. I would prefer some kind of appliance for this. Any
thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks
