It's not exactly a replacement as it's in a slightly different niche but still a cool tool.  I can see some interesting capabilities created by using the two together for that matter.

Don't you have to have multiple monitors?  One per each system?  My
reason for using a KVM is I don't have the realestate for multiple
monitors.
