[ale] Evolution mail check on startup???

could anyone tell me how to make Ximian Evolution automatically check
for mail when the program starts up?  I always have to click the
"Send/Receive button" on startup or wait 5 mins until the autocheck
kicks in.  Is there a "check for new mail on startup" preference?  I
can't find it....sorry for being the newbie to linus... ;)
