[ale] comdex

It's a mega-combo offering this year. Too bad it happens so soon on the
heels of Dragon*Con. After working behind the scenes at both (on the
floor at a Comdex, Vegas and helping EFF out at Dragon*Con), I much
prefer the bazaar style fun and fantasy commercialism of Dragon*Con's
dealers room over the glitzy hyper-megacorporation chrome and plastic
commercialism of NetWorld+Interop-Comdex.

We're working staff for the EFF panels (down in the basement next to the
electronic gaming) or we couldn't afford Dragon*Con this year. On one
income, I very seriously doubt being able to attend
NetWorld+Interop-Comdex so soon afterwards. So, it looks like for this
year I'll have to do my penguin evangelizing amongst the dragons. ;)
