or try http://www.firewallguide.com/

apparently the SMC/Siemens (same OEM) routers are pretty good if you decide
against the linux firewall. built in VPN and print serving on most of them.

if you're a newbie like me and just need a quick solution before you figure
out how to configure your own Linux firewall, there are several "canned"
linux firewalls out there. Astaro (www.astaro.com), ClarkConnect
(www.clarkconnect.org) or Smoothwall
(http://www.smoothwall.org/community/home/) come to mind.

i'm using ClarkConnect (based on RH 7.2) with my PPPOE connection and it has
CUPS print serving, Snort intrusion detection, firewall, Apache, photo
Gallery, etc. all built in. it's pretty cool and makes me want to learn how
to configure my own Linux server...it's really a powerful tool.

good luck!
Aaron
