Before I got a new mobo and cpu fan, my 1Ghz Athlon ran consistently at 
170-190F. This time I got a better fan and actually used the thermal glue so 
now it runs about 125F. No stability problems.

No I didnt overclock it. but my mobo slowly started to get flaky, not 
recognizing devices, etc.
