I don't know about win4lin, but windows booting in vmware is not any 
faster then booting off the box.  In reality, it's probably slower.

Also, win98 under vmware is degraded verses win98 running on that same 
box resident.

The only gain in reliability would be that you could back up your whole 
vmware win98 install, then when it craps out on you, you just replace 
the whole bloody file.  Remember to retain decent back ups though.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
