[ale] relocation error?

After upgrading my RH 7.2 to 7.3, I get the following message when trying
to run gabber:

gabber: relocation error: gabber: symbol __on_exit, version GLIBC_2.0 not
defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

Recompiling/reinstalling does no good.  Could anyone provide some insight
into this error?
