[ale] Fw: [ale] Cheap motherboards in Atlanta

I picked up two of these yesterday and here is a description.

There were only a few left.so if you are still interested, you might want to
go for it.

The manual states it will handle a PIII or Celeron w/ 133Mhz bus.

Celerons at 533Mhz and PIII's at 750 Mhz are mentioned in the book as the
fastest at print time. 1GB max memory.

The MB is a SIS630 chipset based AGP 3D graphics w/ 64MB system it does have
a video out and monitor out.

I has a 3D audio using an onboard CMI8738 audio chipset. It also has a v90
modem.

It only has one PCI slot but for $8 it will make a good computer for the
kids or a TV game machine.

I think it will be kinda fun to tinker around with and teach my sons a thing
or two about computers.

We have already had to password some shares to prevent my 6yr old from
hacking into my wife's computer on our network!

My 11yr old was helping his teachers last year with his computer lab. Who
knows what they will do this year.
