[ale] Apache is slow

You know, you can generate your own bogus certificate if you need to test SSL 
functions. I have my own Apache set up as two virtual hosts, one for 
non-secure and one for secure connections. The only drawback of generating 
the fake certificate is the warning your browser will give you, but you can 
override that. I don't know much about the server side include problem.
