June should be fine....
I could probably round up a few more people.

Also, Mark Spencer (The guy who brought us GAIM) from Auburn has hosted an
Installfest before. I can get with him for advice and/or participation too.

Thank you - It looks like our first task is to organize an installfest to
get
things rolling. So far we have three willing to help set it all up, and at
least a couple others willing to help on the installfest day. We were
thinking about June, no hard date yet. But if we get one or two more willing
to participate, we need to have a planning meeting.

We've been getting some great advice from the ALE'ers (ALEiens?) the past
few
days. I think it would be great if the Columbus area, LaGrange, and all
points between could join the "Georgia Linux Community" en masse instead of
one here or there, with no local collaboration. A LUG would have helped me
learn more, gain confidence, and therefore grow into Linux faster. If we can
spend a little time sharing what we've learned, there's no doubt the use of
linux will grow in our area, and that's gotta be good!

One final thing - thanks for serving up great broadband with Linux... I'm
luvin it! :-)
