[ale] Problems installing mandrake

I've had all kinds of little problems with 8.2 on my desktop. I tried
putting it on my laptop for the presentation I did tonight, and
KPresenter wouldn't run out of the box -- some complaint about MIME
types. I didn't have time to mess with that so I installed 8.1 instead,
and it worked fine. I am going to try a clean install of 8.2 on my
desktop this weekend. I'll let you (and everyone) know if I run into
any more problems.
